Swinton

Swinton is a village approx 2 miles from Malton and situated in a very scenic part of North Yorkshire. There is a local butchers shop and a Pub in the village and a full range of Shops, Pubs, Restaurants and Café’s can be found in Malton. It is a village with a good sense of community with a sports centre just along from the development and reading rooms, which host a playgroup and table tennis among other things. The local church and village hall are located at Amotherby (1 mile) There is a neighbourhood watch scheme in place and is linked into a very good bus service.

There is a health centre, several dentists’ and a hospital in Malton. The local primary school is at Amotherby and is classed as a high achieving school. There are comprehensive schools in Malton and Norton and an excellent 6th form college at Malton and also a 6th form college starting a Norton this year.

Our development here consists of six 3 bed semi detached homes and one 4 bed detached. There is a row of terrace with 2 flat’s (Plots 6 – 9) for affordable homes, which are not Housing Association controlled.

Directions

From York A64 take the 1st exit off the A64 into Malton. In the town centre at the traffic lights at the cross roads, take the left turn towards Hovingham (B1257). *Swinton is the second village along and when you arrive, take the right turn into East Street, at the end bear right and the development is on the left hand side.

From Scarborough A64 take the 2nd exit (Flamingo Land Junction) and head into Malton town centre. At the traffic lights at the cross roads take the right turn towards Hovingham (B1257) – See above from *.

From Hovingham take the B1257 towards Malton, when you arrive at Swinton take the 1st turn left into West Street, at the end bear to the left and the development is on the left.
